Sandy is a seasoned financial advisor who began her specialization in retirement planning 15 years ago when she worked for Citistreet/Copeland, a 403(b) carrier to the education and medical marketplaces. At Copeland/Citistreet, Sandy helped to open the education markets, found prospects primarily through "Lunch and Learn" and "Breakfast and Learn" mini-workshops, enrolled individuals in their 403(b) plans, and initiated her work in the "5 years to retirement countdown.”

When Citistreet/Copeland closed their Western PA offices, Sandy launched her private practice using her contacts from the education marketplace to continue her “countdown to retirement program.” Walnut Street Securities was her broker-dealer. Sandy says, “The demands of my clients and the retirement marketplace shaped me and my practice. I became a specialist in retirement planning for educators and their spouses. I learned the techniques of inservice transfers, the  importance of planning for longevity, and developed ways to create income streams for those retirees without a pension."

Sandy graduated from Carlow University in Speech Pathology. She worked as a speech therapist for the Pittsburgh Public Schools and in the Educational Division of Reader’s Digest. After the closing of the Educational Division in 1981, she began her financial career with Connecticut General/Cigna Individual Financial Services, working in Fee Based Financial Planning, Estate/Business Continuity Planning, Personal/Corporate Benefits and Tax Planning.

Her hobbies include tennis, ‘formerly’ skiing, art, historic renovation and decorating. She’s lived in Sewickley for over 30 years, is a lector at her church, and is active in the Carlow Alumnae Association.
